Chicken & potato, chili miso base

Today I will cook the chicken legs and potatoes with the Korean chili paste called gochujang and the Japanese miso. This dish goes very well with rice so please try if you need some power for the summer and of course the cold winter!

By the way, what do you eat when you don't have any appetite from the heat? In Japan, people eat grilled eel on the day of the ox (in the old calender) in the mid-summer to recover from fatigue. They say that eel has much energy and good for your health.

You can eat eel anytime of a year in Japan but it's popular especially in summer. It is a little expensive though...
Ingredients:
chicken legs (6)
potatoes
flour (1tbsp)
gochujang (1.5tbsps)
miso (1tbsp)
mirin (2tpsps)
soup (2cups)
salt and pepper

1- Peel the potatoes.

2- Put some salt and pepper on the chicken legs. Put them in a plastic bag with 1/2 tbsp of gochujang, knead and allow the flavor to blend. Add flour and mix.

3- Heat some oil and fry 2. When the surface is cooked, add 1, mirin and 2 cups of soup.

4- Adjust the taste with miso and gochujang.

You can also add carrot or green peas to add more color.
Itadakimasu!
